Tereos FKS has just carried out a job fair in Cilegon. The event was conducted for two days, from the 26th to 27th of June 2019 in Grand Mangku Hotel, Cilegon, Indonesia. There were around 16,000 job seekers who visited the job fair. This event was a prime opportunity to explore potential career paths as they network with over 40 employers. Four vacant positions needed to be filled in Tereos FKS; Process Engineer, Rotating Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and also Management Trainee.
The event was welcomed by a speech from Mr. Edi Riadi as the Mayor of Cilegon and was attended by company representative executives. This event was fully supported by Tereos FKS team. There are representatives from all divisions such as people from General Affairs, Production, Information Technology, Safety, PPIC, Sales Marketing, and also Corn Wet Milling (CWM).
“It was generally a smooth and safe event,” said Citra Merlisa, General Affair representative of Tereos FKS. “I feel like this event aligns with Tereos FKS’ commitment to empowering local talents and we are planning on selecting those candidates in the following weeks.”
Tereos FKS has just hosted a media discussion with the topic on; Role of Corn in Indonesia’s Economic: Challenges and Opportunities. We invited Mr. Bustanul Arifin as the external speaker for this event. Overall, the event was a great opportunity to share Tereos’ insight on the matter. Most of the articles published also have a positive tone with some small neutral.
Food industry today changes very rapidly, marked by the emergence of new products and trends. In response to that, the Director of Tereos Starch & Sweeteners Indonesia (TSSI), Laurent Lambert, decides to increase the company’s production capacity and diversifies its products. He also emphasizes the importance of empowering his team of 600 employees, which also consists of millennials.
In July, the corn processing joint venture company between Tereos Group and FKS Group invested US$100million to increase its production capacity. The Company is targeting a 30% increase in production capacity by the end of this year, from 1,000 metric tons per day to 1,300 metric tons per day.
