The Ministry of Industry through the Industrial Research and Development Agency shows its appreciation to several companies in Indonesia by presenting them the INDI 4.0 award or the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index, in a part of a series of activities in the Indonesia Industrial Summit 2019 by popping up the theme “Making Indonesia 4.0: The Journey of Indonesia” held on April 15th-16th at ICE BSD City, Serpong, was officially opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (Jusuf Kalla).
This award has been appreciatively given to several companies in Indonesia that are transforming into industry 4.0, after passing through Self-Assessment process which was conducted in February to March 2019. PT TEREOS FKS Indonesia that has been represented by the President Director, Mr. Laurent Lambert, with 83 other companies from various sectors were selected to receive this prestigious award.
On this occasion, the Minister of Industry added that industry players need to take advantage of this era 4.0. The results of INDI 4.0 assessment are expected to be a reference for continuing to develop national competitiveness, both domestically and in complying to the export needs. In line with the government’s objectives, PT TEREOS FKS Indonesia is committed to continue improving its quality in developing production and advance the objectives of the Indonesian Government in digitizing the industry in line with the increasingly rapid industry 4.0 in Indonesia.
The Indonesia Industrial Summit 2019 program was merrily held and attended by all representatives of companies from various industries in Indonesia such as automotive, electronic, chemical as well as food and beverage, including a few of ministers from relevant ministries / agencies, namely Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs (Darmin Nasution), Minister of Trade (Enggartiasto Lukita), Minister of Communication and Information (Rudiantara), Indonesian Employers Association, representatives from the Ministry of Finance as well as Deputy Governor of East Java (Emil Dardak) who appeared as a speaker at several event sessions.
Tereos FKS has just hosted a media discussion with the topic on; Role of Corn in Indonesia’s Economic: Challenges and Opportunities. We invited Mr. Bustanul Arifin as the external speaker for this event. Overall, the event was a great opportunity to share Tereos’ insight on the matter. Most of the articles published also have a positive tone with some small neutral.
Food industry today changes very rapidly, marked by the emergence of new products and trends. In response to that, the Director of Tereos Starch & Sweeteners Indonesia (TSSI), Laurent Lambert, decides to increase the company’s production capacity and diversifies its products. He also emphasizes the importance of empowering his team of 600 employees, which also consists of millennials.
In July, the corn processing joint venture company between Tereos Group and FKS Group invested US$100million to increase its production capacity. The Company is targeting a 30% increase in production capacity by the end of this year, from 1,000 metric tons per day to 1,300 metric tons per day.
