20 March 2019

Accidents at work might occur at any time. Awareness about the importance of health and safety at work needs to be strongly implemented. As one of the leading companies who cares about the importance of health and safety for its own employees, TEREOS organizes an annual event, which is held every March to promote the message of health and safe work conditions.

TEREOS Safety Day is an event designed to promote and emphasize the culture of health and safety at work that we usually hold as an important act. How we all as agents of safety are requested to put forward the TEREOS’ charter, the 8 golden safety rules and the 8 priorities of safety at work.

The 8 golden safety rules always become the underlying point in the Safety Day’s celebration at TEREOS that should be strictly followed by every employee, which they are obligated to comply every sign at plant site or head office, to walk cautiously, to respect all traffic rules when driving, to ensure not to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol, to check safe lifting activities, to guarantee using anti-fall safeguard, to enter confined space after safety verification and not to interfere with equipment in operation.

In Indonesia, the events were divided into 2 main activities, which were held in the head office (Jakarta) and also at the Plan Site (Cilegon). In Cilegon, we organized a large event with the aim of instilling workers' awareness of the importance of health and safety at work. The event was attended by Laurent Lambert as the President Director of PT TEREOS FKS Indonesia. In addition to an explanation about health and safety, delivered directly by Prio Utomo (Plant HR, Safety, Health and Environment Manager), a few of quizzes also has been successfully organized and was enthusiastically participated by all the employees.

Along with the events in Cilegon, we also held the safety day event at the head office in Jakarta. The agendas consist of showcasing videos about TEREOS’ commitment on health and safety at work, brief explanation about being safe addressed by Maya Devi (Sales and Marketing Director), followed by another showcasing of a corporate video (as well as a meeting with Pascale Beaupere) and ended by giving away the souvenirs and promoting the new slogan about being safe at work “Safety Starts with Me”.
